Toyota 4Runner Overview
The Toyota 4Runner is built for adventure and offers the capability you need to hit the open road or head out on the trail.
It’s equipped with a 4.0L V6 engine that produces 270 horsepower and 278 lb-ft of torque. It can also tow up to 5,000 pounds. This is paired with a 5-speed Electronically Controlled automatic Transmission with Intelligence (ECT-i) that helps you achieve an EPA-estimated fuel economy of 17 MPG city and 21 MPG highway.1
In addition to powerful engine specs, you’ll have impressive off-road capability with the available part-time or full-time 4WD system with Active Traction Control (A-TRAC).
You can also optimize your drive for the specific challenge you face with the available Multi-terrain Select feature that allows you to choose between four different modes that regulate wheelspin by adjusting your engine throttle and braking pressure.
In the standard configuration, you can bring up to four of your friends along for the ride, for a total passenger capacity of five. An optional third-row seat raises your total seating capacity to seven. Behind the second row, you can pack up to 47.2 cubic feet of cargo.
Fold down the second-row seat and you’ll have access to the whole 89.7-cubic-foot cargo capacity.
