Bill Penney Toyota donates van wrap to local 100 Cars for Good Winner
On December 8th, Bill Penney Toyota was proud to help Sci-Quest celebrate winning a new 2012 Sienna van. The hands-on science center won the van through Toyota's 100 Cars for Good Program. Under this program, Toyota gave 100 vehicles to 100 nonprofit organizations throughout the country based on votes from the public using a Facebook-enabled voting system. Sci-Quest was selected from thousands of applicants nationwide to participate in the competition and was the only "100 Cars for Good" winner in the Tennessee Valley and one of two winners in the state of Alabama. Sci-Quest will use the minivan to take its Traveling Scientist outreach program to North Alabama's children in rural and inner-city areas.
Since the vehicle was to be delivered by the dealership and Sci-Quest is just down the street, Bill Penney Toyota decided to donate a wrap for the new van to help celebrate Sci-Quest's win. "Our family has been investing in the Huntsville community for decades, so I can't think of a more deserving organization to win since Sci-Quest is investing in children by motivating them to explore their interests in science, mathematics and technology." says Zack.
