Toyota Takes Blue Springs Production to Higher Level


The Blue Springs, MS Toyota manufacturing facility has only been producing new Toyota vehicles for about six months now, but that hasn't stopped the facility from quickly ramping up its capacity. Recently, the plant began its second production line shift, and it plans to be at maximum capacity soon. When this happens, the facility will have the ability to produce about 150,000 Toyota Corolla vehicles each year.

Toyota Highlander Becomes an American Export


The Toyota Highlander, a sporty SUV with a cool personality, has always been built in Japan, headquarters of Toyota, but with the rise in value of the Japanese yen, Toyota and other Japanese automakers have begun to produce vehicles elsewhere. Rumors Abound: Will the New Toyota Corolla Get a Direct Inject Turbo Engine?

Toyota had a goal to impress Tokyo Auto Salon attendees recently, and the automaker certainly succeeded with its turbocharged variant of the popular Toyota Yaris (or Vitz, as it's called in non-American markets) with help from its motorsports partner GRMN. While the vehicle may not ever make it to production lines, it did provide us with an interesting idea: Toyota will be working on smaller, turbocharged, direct-injection engines, instead of focusing all of its energy on the gas-electric hybrid engine market.

Toyota Prius Surpasses Chevy Volt in Only Ten Weeks

Everyone loves the Toyota Prius family, and we mean everyone. So much, in fact, that the new Toyota Prius v outsold the Chevy Volt with just ten weeks on the market.  The Prius v premiered in late 2011 (the last week of October, to be precise) and managed to rack up sales numbers of 8,399 delivered units, while the Volt only managed numbers of 7,671 units.

Wow! A vehicle that gets 83 mpg? That would certainly save you some money at the gas pump. Introducing: the Toyota 2012 Aqua Hybrid- a fresh-faced gasoline-electric compact hybrid car that was named "Aqua" when it was showcased on December 26, 2011. The bad news? 2012 Toyota Camry Wins Favor with Consumer Reports

Japanese automaker Toyota hasn't always been on the top of Consumer Reports' list of favorite brands, but this year, they've made the cut. The 2012 Toyota Camry officially went on sale in October 2011, and received a "recommended" review from the magazine, which has been critical of some other models.
